Development of Intelligent Access Control System

Introduction to the development of intelligent access control system

The intelligent access control security management system is a new modern security management system, suitable for various confidential departments, such as banks, hotels, computer rooms, military machinery warehouses, confidential rooms, office rooms, intelligent communities, factories, etc. In today’s rapid development of digital technology and network technology, access control technology has developed rapidly. Kaipas intelligent access control system has long surpassed simple doorway and key management, and it has gradually developed into a complete access management system. It plays a huge role in administrative management such as work environment safety, personnel attendance management and so on.

On the basis of this system, the corresponding auxiliary equipment can be added for elevator control, vehicle access control, property fire protection monitoring, security inspection management, catering charge management, etc., to truly realize the intelligent management of one card in the area.

The access control system is also called ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM. It is an intelligent management system for managers to enter and exit. The summary is: manage who can enter and exit those doors when and when, and provide post-event query reports, etc., common Access control systems include: password access control systems, non-contact card access control systems, fingerprint iris palm biometric access control systems, etc. The access control system has developed rapidly in recent years and is widely used in management control systems.

System development

The entrance and exit access control system, as its name implies, is a system that controls the entrance and exit passages. It is developed on the basis of traditional door locks. The traditional mechanical door lock is just a simple mechanical device. No matter how reasonable the structural design and how strong the material is, people can always open it by various means. It is troublesome to manage the keys in the passages with many people (such as offices, hotel rooms). If the key is lost or the personnel are changed, the lock and key must be replaced together. In order to solve these problems, electronic magnetic card locks and electronic code locks have appeared. The appearance of these two types of locks has improved people’s management of entrances and exits to a certain extent, and made the management of channels enter the electronic age. With the continuous application of electronic locks, their own defects are gradually exposed. The problem of magnetic card locks is that the information is easy to copy, the wear between the card and the card reader is large, the failure rate is high, and the safety factor is low. The problem with the password lock is that the password is easy to leak, and it is impossible to find out, and the safety factor is very low. At the same time, most of the products in this period used the card reader part (password input) and the control part to be installed outside the door, so it was easy for someone to open the lock outside. The access control system of this period was still in the early immature stage, so the access control system at that time was usually called an electronic lock, and it was not widely used.

In recent years, with the development of proximity card technology and biometric technology, the access control system has been developed by leaps and bounds, and has entered a mature stage. There have been proximity card access control systems, fingerprint access control systems, iris access control systems, and facial recognition access control systems. Various technical systems such as out-of-order keyboard access control systems have their own advantages in terms of safety, convenience, and ease of management, and the application fields of access control systems are becoming wider and wider.

System functions

The basic functions realized by a mature access control system:

  • 1. Management of channel access rights
·The access permission of the channel is to set who can enter and exit for each channel, and who can’t enter and exit
·The way of entering and exiting the channel is to authorize the people who can enter and exit the channel. There are usually three ways of entering and exiting: password, fingerprint (biometric identification), and card reading
·The time period for entering and leaving the channel is to set the time range within which people who can enter and leave the channel can enter and exit
  • 2. Real-time monitoring function
System administrators can view the entry and exit status of each door area (with photo display at the same time) and the status of each door area (including door opening and closing, various abnormal state alarms, etc.) through the computer in real time; it can also be opened in an emergency state Or close all door areas.
    Access record query function
The system can store all entry and exit records and status records, and can be inquired according to different query conditions. Equipped with corresponding attendance software, it can realize attendance and access control all-in-one card.
  • 3. Abnormal alarm function
Microcomputer alarm or alarm alarm can be realized in abnormal situations, such as: illegal intrusion, the door is not closed over time, etc.
Depending on the system, the access control system can also achieve the following special functions:
Anti-passback function: that is, the cardholder must follow the pre-set route to enter and exit, otherwise the next channel swipe card will be invalid. This function is to prevent the cardholder from following others to enter.
  • 4. Anti-tailing function: the cardholder must close the door just entered before opening the next door. This function is the same as that realized by anti-passback, but the method is different.
  • 5. Fire alarm monitoring linkage function: when a fire occurs, the access control system can automatically open all electronic locks to allow people inside to escape at any time. Linkage with monitoring usually means that the monitoring system automatically records the situation when someone swipes the card (valid/invalid), and also records the situation when an alarm occurs in the access control system.
  • 6. Network setting management and monitoring function: most access control systems can only be managed by a computer, while the technologically advanced systems can set up, monitor, and query the entire system at any authorized location on the network, or through the Internet. Set up management monitoring query in a remote place.
  • 7. Logic door opening function: Simply put, the same door requires several people to swipe their cards (or other methods) at the same time to open the electronically controlled door lock.
